Today the Olympic Torch came to the town were I live and as it was visiting it would have been rude not to wave a flag at it. haha. First Wenlock drove past and a then a woman called Joanna carried the torch
on this leg of the journey. More people than I had expected turned out
to cheer and wave and our enthusiasm was not dampened by the down pour
that occurred just after these photos were taken.
Roll on 27th July!
I am
really looking forward to the London Olympic games.

We were able to wander along to watch it through LGC earlier, Tracey as it went by the end of our road. It was pretty wet in the morning but loads of people were standing at least an hour in the rain ahead of it arriving. I have no idea who the torchbearer who went past us was!
Wow, you had an amzingly clear view of the torch didn't you? xxx
How exciting. The torch doesn't come through Bromley till 23 July x
It passed by our way too - I made a journal page about me getting to hold a torch :-)
It came by the end of our road last Saturday, I was surprised at the turnout too - loads of neighbours I've never seen before.
We live close to Greenwich Park where the equestrian events are being staged. Have you got any tickets? We've got some for the Paralympics - archery and shooting. :)xx
Good for you Tracey! Enjoy the Games.
