Well I have just got in with this DCM challenge. New one up tomorrow - eek!
These shoes, or should that be ruby slippers, were made by cutting out red card and glittering them - easy really. The papers are a mixture of Cosmo Cricket, Bo Bunny and Mulberry paper I had recoloured using waterbased inks. I then used my Distress Ink pads. The chipboard "S" in the corner has been covered with Stickles as I find this sticks better to smaller areas.
Thanks for stopping by.

Something Completely Different Week 46 Challenge
This week the SCD challenge letter was "B".
Now I could have made a girly card and used bling, butterflies and buttons but I thought no, do a male card, so I did.
My "Bs" are balls, as in basketball and baseball. I found this paper from Love Elsie and thought it would work perfectly on this card for my nephew. Shame it didn't have a bowling ball on it as we celebrated his 19th birthday on Saturday with a couple of games. I beat him to come first in the first game but only managed third place in the second game. I think I peaked too early. haha.

Journal Wrecking!
If you haven't seen or heard of the phenomena that is "Wreck This Journal" then you really should go and check it out! I have had so much fun today as I decided to work on this page, "throw something a pencil, a ball dipped in paint."
Well as you can see I clipped the journal open with these small bull dog clips and attached some string and hung it outside (I'm not silly!) and then used three Adirondack Dabbers as darts and chucked them at the pages. The colours were Purple Twilight, Aqua and Lemonade. When my son asked what I was going to do he couldn't wait to join me!
After about 10 minutes ......... it ended up looking like this ..............
Really pleased with it! Please don't worry I usually respect books but I have permission to destroy this one. :)

Janice's sketch
The 25th Christmas Card Club over on Bubbly Funk this month has a challenge set by the lovely Janice.
Janice has given us a sketch this month to use.
I have interpreted it and come up with this. The snowflake is a piece of chipboard painted with a Acrylic Paint Dabber and then highlighted with some stickers. The sentiment is a rub on which didn't "rub on" very well so I have to write over it.
Thanks Janice for the sketch I hope to do another one before the new challenge starts on 25th April.

3. Knitted several jumpers for family, friends and myself.
4. Knitted my Funky Monkey.
5. Participated in Emily Falconbridge's 52Q last year.
6. Participating in 365 Calendar Challenge this year.

Something Completely Different Week 45
This is the first time I have participated in one of their challenges so pop over to Something Completely Different and give it a go. New challenge up every Friday morning.
Week 45 challenge was something beginning with the letter W. I chose W for window and made this card using a Woodware stamp from their Indian Dreams set. Coloured in with Sakura Gelly Roll and Stardust pens. I cut the window out and layered it on top of the one stamped on the card to give it some dimension.
Thanks for coming to see what I've made. :)

Two challenges completed?
You can tell I'm on holiday tee hee! for one the weather is pants (sure sign I'm at home) and two I have taken part in two ... yes two challenges!
The first one is for Bubbly Scrumptious "Whispers of Colour" No.6 and I have made six inchies with an Easter theme and the colours fitted just perfectly. Thanks Caroline for the inspiration and challenge.
My second project is a card I made for my daughter to give to her friend and I incorporated some diamonds into it so it qualified for the Daring Card Makers Dare this week of "A Diamond for April". I have used gems as diamonds and also on the sentiment box there are diamond patterns on the Fancy Pants papers.
Thanks for stopping to take a look!

Journal update!
tee hee I had a shower this morning ....... yes nothing abnormal about that you might say but ...... I read my "Wreck This Journal" whilst standing under the running water. lol I could only flick through a couple of pages before they all got stuck together! And then a piece came off in my hand from a corner of a page as I was trying to separate a stuck page and finally the back cover fell off! lol
Can you believe how excited I was to see my journal ruined? Yes very!!!!! I dried it over the radiator for a while and then decided to have a go at the page that says "pick up the journal without using your hands" ................... so I used my teeth!!!!! (good job it was on the kitchen table already) ..... oops ..... I was left with a chunk of page in my teeth another page taken care of then. :0 Big smiles all round.
Hope you are doing as well as I feel I am?
Do let me see how yours is getting on.

The Easter Bunny
Happy Easter to you all in blogland!
My children are in their teens but that doesn't mean they still don't enjoy a chocolate egg at Easter! In fact this year with their egg I made them their very own Easter Bunny courtesy of the wonderful Anjie over on Pom Pom Emporium blog. On her blog you will find a great tutorial for these beauties.
Aren't they cute? And very easy to make when you follow Anjie's instructions. All made for less than £1 each. Very quick to make too thank goodness as ... yes you've guess it I made them last night! haha "Last Minute Minnie" strikes again.
I made four in the end for my two children, my neice and my daughter's boyfriend lol
Hope you are all enjoying the extra days at home spent with family and loved ones.

It's back!
Guess what I received back in the post this morning? Yes this .....
I was so disappointed as it was intact and perfect! No scratches, bends or pieces missing! Not the Royal Mail I know! haha Maybe I should have put it in an envelope marked fragile and "do not bend"?
So I decided that I wouldn't be careful taking the tape off from around the edges and this is the result ...
Ok not a huge amount of damage - I did try haha. Maybe I will take Ben's advise after all Gez and kick it down the stairs a couple of times. ;)

April Fool?
I think that is what the cashier at the Post Office thought I was playing today when I posted off my "Wreck This Journal" book! haha
I put it on the scales and said, "Can you tell me how much this would be to send first class please?" - see very polite I am :) -
and without looking at it said, "That will be 90p."
When I handed it over the counter she said, "Oh!" and gave me a funny look. "It will get spoilt" she added.
"That is the whole point." I replied with an embarrassed look of my face.
The cashier laughed and said, "I haven't seen anything like it before! I'll take good care of it."
"No," I answered "it is supposed to get ruined." Then I paid, quickly wished her "Happy Easter" and left the post office. lol
Now fingers crossed Royal Mail do their usual "careful job" of handling and delivering my mail and I get it back on Saturday. I'll keep you posted and please feel free to let me know whether you think I have indeed been an APRIL FOOL today? haha
