Hi there
it took me a week to make this Very Hungry Caterpillar costume from three jumpers and a skirt that were heading for the Oxfam charity bag (sorry Oxfam). I wore it to work on Friday although the papier mache head was very warm inside so didn't keep that on all day haha.
More practise needed for my sewing machine skills but heyho you have to start somewhere don't you?

Your costume is amazing - and what a great book it reminds me of! Very inventive of you. I have to say I was delighted when I was told that because of World Book Day activities, my French lessons for the day would have to be cancelled, so I didn't have to get a costume together...Mind you, I would quite like to dress u as Madeline sometime!

He he! A splendid Very Hungry Caterpillar Tracey! I bet the kids loved it!
This is fabulous! Our theme was Fairy tales so I went as red Riding Hoods Granny - had to take the children to a quiz in Dudley town centre and got some very funny looks, Jo x
