Well after working on it all week I have finally finished by Bubblies Retreat Layout. yippee!!I didn't complete mine during the class whilst at Toad Hall because I was going to make it 12 x 12 and then I thought about putting it in my retreat book and that is what I have done.
The papers are Basic Grey and Cosmo Cricket and the layout recipe can be found on the Bubbly Scrumptious blog under "Bubblies". I was limited as to what I could do because I put it straight into the journal but I think it has turned out quite well. The stitching had to be done by hand as I don't have a sewing machine and I didn't take the pages out of the book so it would have been impossible if I did have a machine anyway. haha.
My papers are quite busy so I didn't feel the need to do the extra flowers at the top left but think it needs something - what do you think?
Thanks for stopping by.

Hello
Did you all think I had disappeared? lol
Well I have had alot doing since I last posted. Finished my NVQ and passed yippee! Been on my first and certainly not my last, retreat with the Bubbly Funkers. I had a brilliant time and learnt many different skills - unfortunately crocheting is not one of them. Although I will keep at it and practise. lol Also this bank holiday I've visited family in Sheffield and Milton Keynes. phew! See told you I have been busy.
Well I will hopefully show you my retreat journal when it is finished and the photos are for Bubblies eyes only sorry. But what I can share with you are four yes count them - four 52Q tags.
Tag 15 What makes me me? Answer under the flower says "my humour". lol
Tag 16 What is the truth?
Tag 17 What is my super power? Had a bit of fun with this as you will see. tee hee
Tag 18 What is on your to do list this week? And I have to say I have already done number 3!
Thanks for looking.

My very first layout
Well a couple of weeks ago I went to Fidgeon's on my very first workshop. Met up with Rosie and met Kathy for the first time too. Much hilarity took place but not much scrapping on my part. Never done it before and was a little nervous to say the least.
Well Kathy and Rosie helped me no end and I chose these papers by Tinkering Ink very bright, bold and yes orange. tee hee Most of the work has been done for me I feel by the paper with those big jungly blooms which I layered up on some of the petals. Hand scalloped the paper down the right hand side - thanks Kathy for tutoring me and just added the date and some doodling. I should add I only finished this last night.
The layout is of my cute neice Mia taken last year whilst she was playing in her mum's pot plant. Tee hee what a rascal!

Cambridge
As it was such a lovely day we decided to go to Cambridge for the day. Well afternoon really by the time we were ready. haha It didn't take long to get there at all. The weather was lovely so I took my camera and we headed off.We decided not to go punting down the river but as you can see loads of peeps did. We had lunch out and then wandered round a market we came across and before we left we stopped to have a coffee at Carluccio's. My son and I decided to have a Cioccolata Fiorentina a thick drinking chocolate served in an expresso cup - well talk about rich. I drunk/ate mine with my teaspoon. haha.See I did finish mine but I feel very full up still and I had that 3 hours ago now.
My husband and I - ooo I sound like the Queen are celebrating 20 years of marriage on Wednesday so I thought I would post a photo of us both. Sorry about my squinting eyes. He looks handsome as ever though. x

More Christmas Cards?
Well I quickly made these two cards last night and finished them this morning thinking that I was late making my two April cards for the 25th Club Christmas Card Challenge over on Bubbly Funk but when I downloaded my photos I realised that I had already made two cards for April. tee hee So I have now made four cards and have you seen those reindeers are out again. Papers for the first card are Adornit and for the second card are Dream Street.
Also have you noticed the easel? That was indeed a bargain. Went to Ikea this afternoon to buy a lamp for by the computer - smashed the other one - oops! Well the easel was in the basement area you know where they have all those lovely bits and pieces that you've just got to have well this was calling to me and it was only 69p!
