Whilst looking for inspiration today I came to Lythan's blog and noticed her cards with a circle theme. I thought ahha get your Sizzex out girl and cut some circles. I needed three cards to be in the post by 5 pm this evening and thought these would be quick and effective.
What do you think? - hope the collage isn't too confusing - looks like I made 6 cards rather than 3 haha.
If you look closely on the green card the words "Wonderful You" and green glitter stars where in a pile of stuff I found whilst tidying up - they were originally from a Bubbly Funk kit. See what you find when you tidy!! :)

my house in the middle of our street
No not the Madness song my house for the Bubbly Funk Mini House Swap. They should ha ve been posted today ooops sorry girls I was waiting for Glossy Accents to dry.
Photographed them in poor light this evening so excuse the photos. I made 11 houses in total so hence the long street.
Each house is decorated differently and here are mine and Gez's. Now I didn't realise that Gez wasn't in the swap when I made hers first so it will be a surprise for her to receive it sometime soon. The only one I have shown in the inside of is mine. I didn't want to ruin the surprise for the swapees.I did use some of the stash I found yesterday in these houses and you can see a rather lovely green gem in the middle of that large "believe" brad in the photo of mine.
Thanks for taking a look and I hope that has satisfied your curiosity from the other day Kaz. :)

Lucky find
Well who said it is a good idea to tidy up your craft area? I'd like to shake them by the hand. I have just found this -
A lunch tin I bought to alter and it is full of goodies that I received from the Bubbly Funk Retreat from my secret swaper.
No more tidying up has been done today because naturally I have to sort this little lot out. Thanks secret swaper again. You know who you are as you left a little card which you can see in the photo x x

what a mess!
I have decided to tidy my craft area. It was on my summer holiday list of jobs to do so I have said that "today is the day!!"
I have taken some photos so you can see exactly what sort of mess I usually work in and this is in my bedroom!! Please excuse the awful curtains I haven't got round to getting new ones since we decorated the room last year. Shocking I know. These are my wooden Ikea storage boxes full of gorgeous wonders but not very accessable as the drawers can't open fully - this is where I need to reorganise my desk area lots.
This the my desk area and between my glasses case and my mouse mat is usually all the space I have to work in. Shameful isn't it? lol
This is the floor - can you see the gap of carpet space? This allows me space to open my window. lolWell I hope it won't be too long before I can show you the improvements I have made to my room and craft area in general. Don't be too cruel with your comments hahahaha.

beads
Gawd you lot are not very patient are you? lol Couldn't photograph the beads yesterday as it didn't stop raining. I have done it this afternoon though.
Anyways here are my purchases from Creative Beadcraft. To list them :
Olive Swarovski crystals
Olive flat-backed gems
two vials of two different green seed beads
orange leather thread
two pewter acorn charms
two packets of bead findings
a thread cutter {which I'm going to use to distress paper}
100 Olivine glass beads
100 red wooden beads
50 large green wooden beads
The reason for so many green beads is not only do I love green lol but my neice wants me to design her wedding invitations and I was thinking of using beads on them so the more beads I have the more I can experiment - well that is my excuse and I'm sticking to it. tee hee.
Not only did the shop have some gorgeous beads they put them in this glorious patterned plastic bag, now that is just crying out to be used in an altered project in some way isn't it?
Right folks thanks for looking. x

shopping, shopping and more shopping
phew! am I tired?
Today I have visited Oxford Street, London with my daughter to take her shopping at Top Shop on her birthday "shopping spree". To tell you the truth I thought the day was going to be a dissappointment but I was pleasantly surprised - I really enjoyed myself. :)
As part of Kat's birthday present we bought her a Top Shop Shopping Spree which gave her her own personal shopper and lunch. The personal shopper asked lots of questions and then went out onto the shop floor - and Oxford Street is their flag ship store and is huge so rather her than me. lol she came back with a rail of items for Kat to try on - all the while I was sitting on a rather comfy sofa in air conditioned luxury drinking chill water - perfect.
There was no time limit or pressure to buy all or infact any of the items picked for her although Kat did choose five lovely items. Then it was time for lunch. I thought this would be a bit of a let down but we were shown to the cafe and were asked to choose anything we liked to the value of £15. Of course we chose what we wanted and had some money left over so picked some Sushi to try tee hee - well you have to spend all the money don't you?
Then it was my turn to shop and I visited the lovely Beadcraft shop on Beak Street and came out £33 lighter eek but with some fantastic beads. By the end of that we were both very tired and headed off home. A successful and pleasant day spent with my lovely daughter.
Thanks for a wonderful day Kat. x x

Photos and DCM challenge
As promised yesterday I have photographed said cards I made for Kat and my sister. They took me ages to decide what to put where and I am still not sure that I like the cards but as I said yesterday it seems always to be the way that when I make cards for close family I never think I have done them just right.
Kat likes her card and my sister - well I don't know she has yet to open hers. This one is Kat's - there are 18 gem hearts - I don't know why I put the elephant on there but Kat thinks it is very Moulin Rouge haha.
My sister's card caused me trouble because I didn't know where to place everything - I must have been shuffling those elements around for a good hour. lol
And finally, just in time, I have made a card for the DaringCardMakers challenge which this week is "fairies". I recently found these Lili of the Valley diecuts and thought I had better use them - only had them a year and a half. Decided to make this card for a family friend - her birthday is not until the end of August so getting ahead of myself now. tee hee.
Her wings are covered in Crystal Stickles and the papers are Cosmo Cricket. Thanks for coming to visit my blog today. x

Happy 18th Birthday
No not me!
My daughter is 18th today - where did those years go?
She is still asleep at the mo well it is her birthday lol although she slept this later yesterday, the day before and the day before that haha.
I am very proud of her and she has worked hard in her studies and we look forward to good results on 20th August please. We are off out for a meal tonight going to go to Wagamama's in St. Albans never been before but my daughter's choice.
I will put the card on my blog later when she has opened it. I'm not that pleased with it actually. Does anyone else have trouble making cards for immediate family? It is not that I don't try my best but they never look right iyswim? Maybe that is it I "try my best" if I just chucked the card together that might please me more. haha
I'll be back later - as Arnie would say. x

Something Simple
At the moment I have quite a lot of cards to make and last week I made 5 - yes 5 - in a week!
I must admit that four of them were very simple indeed. I already have aperture cards 9 1/2 cm square and all I did was to doodle round the edges and stick a die cut in the aperture. I did make this and another with letters die cut using a sizzix and then Glossy Accented them to make them shiny.
Thanks for taking a look.

books for the girls
Hi bloggers
Thought I would show you the notebooks I covered for the teachers I work with as an end of year present.
The first one, the black and white one, I covered with sticky back plastic - that Blue Peter staple - what has happened to that programme have you seen it lately gone all hip and trendy? lol
Rosie gave me this piece when I met her back in May at a workshop and I have only just got round to using it. Thanks Rosie. I then went and bought a roll for myself - not bad £5.50 from Wilkinson.I also used a chipboard letter which I painted with a Ranger Dabber and covered with Glossy Accents and then stuck 3 gems into it while it was wet and finished with ribbons on the spiral.
The next book I covered with Cosmo Cricket Jitterbug papers and chipboard letters which I doodled and covered in Glossy Accents. I stuck a crown brad above the S which I got from a Bubbly Funk kit and stuck some gems to the flower middles. Ribbons where tied to the spiral and I made a page marker from some leather thong and beads from my stash. The next book I covered with blue bazzill card and attached two blooms with a brad and ribbon. The sticker letters were covered with - yes you guessed it Glossy Accents to make sure they didn't come off with use. I used Gloss Touch 3D paint to make small dots around the outside of the cover and attached ribbons to the spiral.
The last notebook - yippee! I hear you shout - have you nodded off yet? lol Has been covered with paper - I can't remember the make sorry. I attached blooms to the front with brads. I attached a ribbon across the front of the notebook this time - not down the spiral and stuck the letters P and H. A bit of doodling round the edge and voila!
Thanks for staying with me on this rather long post. More tomorrow I'm afraid, that's postings not notebooks. lol

Eat more cake!!
Hi folks,
today I want to show you a card I made for the Bubbly Scrumptious June Challenge of "Cupcakes". Well I need lots of birthday cards in July so this was an ideal time to make one and the theme of cakes always lends itself very nicely to birthdays doesn't it?
I have shaped a card blank into a cupcake and distress inked the icing in worn lipstick and the cake in vintage photo. I masked out the lines on the cake to create the illusion of the marks the cake case makes when the cake is baked. Finished with a button cherry and bugle bead and Zoomz sprinkles. The sentiment is handwritten and is the quote, "Birthdays are nature's way of telling us to eat more cake!"
Please check out the Bubbly Scrumptious blog for lots of inspiration and wonderful creations. The blog is updated everyday with lots of makes and fun stuff. THEY EVEN HAVE BLOG CANDY THIS MONTH ..................
Thanks for stopping bye. Ciao x

Helloooooooooo
Hi everyone, please don't faint with the shock, yes I am blogging tee hee.
I know it has been sometime since I updated but the summer holidays are coming up so there should be no excuse for not updating regularly.
Well the first time I would like to show you is my niece's 21st birthday card. Her birthday was the beginning of June. (oops - see I told you it has been a long time since I updated my blog) L is a bit of a button lover so I thought I would add some to her card. When she opened the envelope she screamed "BUTTONS!" I think she was pleased. haha.
I raided my button box and used all the pink shades of button I could find. The celebrate button came from my kind friend Suzie in a secret santa swap we did last year. Thanks Suzie. x I also used some Zoomz which lovely Kaz told me about at last year's Retreat, so I had to have a couple of colours.
Right I promise to blog again soon but for now thanks for stopping by. Ciao. x
